Kylee Marley Selected to GNAC WLAX All-Sportsmanship Team

WINTHROP, Mass. – After leading the Regis College women's lacrosse team throughout the 2022 season, sophomore Kylee Marley (Westerly, R.I.) has been selected to the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Women's Lacrosse All-Sportsmanship Team, as the league office announced the postseason awards Monday, May 9.

Marley appeared in every match for the Pride this season, leading the team with 43 goals and 89 draw controls, the second-most draw controls in a single season by a Pride player. In her first career collegiate contest March 5 at Salem State, she set the school's single-match record with 17 draw controls, plus she collected nine groundballs. She scored at least one goal in all but one match this season, including a six-goal performance against Rivier April 9 as well as back-to-back five-goal efforts against Anna Maria April 2 and Lasell April 5.

"Kylee Marley is the epitome of sportsmanship," head coach Courtney Duggan said. "As a player with the ball in her stick a lot, Kylee draws a lot of attention on the field from opponents and handled everything a defense threw at her with composure and an understanding that to the play the game is to play it hard. She is respected by her teammates as a welcoming, positive, and resilient presence on the field, no matter what the scoreboard showed. Our team MVP, Kylee always shows respect for her teammates, opponents, officials, and game day staff."

Women's lacrosse is one of 20 intercollegiate sports sponsored by Regis College as a NCAA Division III member institution.
