PRIDE READY FOR EAGLES

Weston, Mass.—The Regis College women's basketball team is set to take on Daniel Webster College Wednesday (Nov.  17) at 7:00 p.m. The Pride opened the season this past Monday night with a decisive victory over Great Northeast Athletic Conference member Mount Ida College.  This win set the Pride to enter the contest with a record of 1-0. The visiting Eagles opened the season with a win over North Atlantic Conference member Johnson state.  The eagles will enter the conference with an overall record of 1-0.

The Pride is led by a trio of captains Brittany White (Dorchester, Mass. /New Mission) Stephanie Crawford (Rockland, Mass./Rockland   ) and Sarah McNult  (Hampstead, NH/Pinkerton Academy) who will look to set the tone for the Pride. Freshman Claire Ramonas (Portland, Maine/Deering ) had a strong performance for the Pride recording a double –double  in her first college game, and will look to continue with her strong offensive performance. This will be the second straight road game for the Pride who will continue with their away-game stretch through the month of November.

The visiting Eagles are led by Alycia Gervais  (Windham, Conn. /Windham) who tallied a double-double in the first game of the season. Vanessa Bosques (N. Windham, Conn. /Windham)   will look to power the Eagles offense, after a strong performance registering 17 points in the first game.  This will be the second straight home game for the Eagles as the game will be played at the Mario Vagge Gymnasium.

The Game is set to start at 7:00 p.m. and will be played at Daniel Webster College.
