Weston, Mass.-- The Regis College Athletic Department is proud to announce Derrick Neal as the student athlete of the week.  Neal currently leads the team in total points on the season with 153 and a 12.8 per game average. Neal has had solid performances in the past weeks by tallying a total of 33 points and 5 steals. 

Neal was instrumental in the second half push the Pride constructed against Western Connecticut bringing them back from an 18-point deficit. Against Colby- Sawyer Neal broke double digits again by recording a game-high of 15 points. Neal showed his defensive presence by recording   4 steals in the game.

Neal will look to have a strong week for the Pride.  Neal’s next test will be when the Pride take on Salve Regina University. He will be competing against one of the top five scorers in The Commonwealth Conference. The Pride will host its first home conference game of the season Saturday (Jan. 15) when they take on Curry College.
