Weston, Mass.—Phil Alibrandi (York, Maine) was named The Commonwealth Coast Conference Player of the Week Monday morning by the conference office.

Alibrandi was recognized for his 34-point and 17-rebound performance in a 101-96 victory over Anna Maria Saturday. The double-overtime win knocked the AMCats hopes of making the TCCC postseason out of the window.

He had another stellar night Wednesday versus Nichols College where he posted 27 points in a 62-57 loss to the Bison.

He averaged 30.5 points shooting better 52 percent from the field, and making 28-of-34 (.820) of his free-throw attempts. In both games Alibrandi managed an average of 12.5 rebounds per game.

Regis College men’s basketball concluded its 2009-10 season Saturday. Alibrandi will be one of possibly four seniors returning to the program next season.
