Liana Leja, originally from Pittsburgh, joins Regis after four seasons as a member of the Allegheny College women's soccer team. She helped her squad to a league title and two NCAA appearances her first two seasons before her career was cut short due to a knee injury her junior year. She adapted to the change by becoming a student assistant and joining the staff at World Cup Soccer Camps at Saint Vincent College. Off the field, Leja took first place in the Big Idea Competition, devising a business plan for a mobile health clinic serving the Meadville community. During her time at Allegheny, Leja was honored four times as an Alden Scholar and was a three-time NCAC academic honor roll selection. Prior to her collegiate career, Leja was a high school standout at South Fayette (Pittsburgh, Pa.) where she earned four all-conference and two all-state honors on her way to becoming the program's all-time leading goal scorer. Leja graduated magna cum laude with a BS degree in Biology from Allegheny and will pursue her Master in Health Administration at Regis.
