Pastore, Charles Represent Regis on GNAC Track & Field All-Sportsmanship Teams

WINTHROP, Mass. – As part of the postseason awards announcement by the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC), Aiden Charles (Lowell, Mass.) was selected to represent the Pride on the GNAC Men's Indoor Track and Field All-Sportsmanship Team and Nicholas Pastore (Brockton, Mass.) capped his collegiate career with his inclusion on the GNAC Men's Outdoor Track and Field All-Sportsmanship Team. 

At the 2022 GNAC Outdoor Track and Field Championships, Pastore became a seven-time All-GNAC honoree by finishing second in the long jump with a school-record mark of 6.27 meters (20' 7") as well as third in the 100 meter dash with a time of 11.34 seconds in the finals. He also scored for the Pride by placing sixth in the 200 meter dash in 23.79 seconds.

Pastore won two individual titles during the 2020 GNAC Indoor Track and Field Championships, winning the 60 meter dash in 7.23 seconds and the long jump with a mark of 6.29 meters (20' 7.75"), an indoor school record at the time. He broke that record at the 2022 GNAC Indoor Championships with a jump of 6.47 meters (21' 2.75"), finishing second in the event. Pastore graduated earlier this month with his nursing degree.

Charles showed significant improvement during his first year of collegiate competition, including a sixth-place finish in the 60 meter hurdles in 9.66 seconds at the 2022 GNAC Indoor Track and Field Championships. During the outdoor season, he won the hammer throw at the Regis Pre-Conference Meet with a season-best mark of 28.51 meters (93' 6"), plus he finished second in the 110 meter hurdles in 18.00 seconds at the Regis Spring Classic.

He contributed to the team score at the 2022 GNAC Outdoor Track and Field Championships by finishing fifth in the 110 meter hurdles in 17.45 seconds, the discus throw with a season-best mark of 28.79 meters (94' 5"), and the hammer throw with a top mark of 23.13 meters (75' 11").
