Josh Anderson enters his third year as head men's and women's volleyball coach at Regis College in 2023-24.

During the 2022-23 academic year, Anderson led both the men's and women's volleyball teams to their respective GNAC Tournaments. The women posted their second straight 20-win season, the first time that has happened at Regis since 2014 and 2015. Led by AVCA All-Region honoree Marcello Cappuccio and fellow First Team All-GNAC selection Joseph Perez, the men won 12 matches for the second consecutive year.

Anderson led the Regis women's volleyball team to the second-highest win total in program history with 23 victories in 2021, advancing to the semifinals of the GNAC Tournament. He then paced the Pride men's volleyball squad to 12 victories during the 2022 season, including a 7-9 league mark to qualify for the GNAC Tournament.

Anderson had been the head coach of the volleyball program at Colby-Sawyer College from 2017 to 2021. After leading the women's volleyball squad to the championship match of the North Atlantic Conference (NAC) Tournament in 2017, he helped the team transition into the Great Northeast Athletic Conference in 2018, posting a 10-2 league record as part of a 21-11 overall mark and advancing to the semifinals of the GNAC Tournament.

Anderson was also tapped to lead the new men's volleyball program at Colby-Sawyer, as the Chargers won five of their first six matches on the way to a 10-win campaign in its inaugural season of 2019. Before the 2020 season was cut short, Colby-Sawyer posted an 11-6 record and featured Orlando Plagata, the NCAA Division III statistical champion in digs per set (3.66), as well as AJ Gnieski, the GNAC leader and second in Division III in service aces per set (0.84).

Anderson joined Colby-Sawyer from San Gabriel High School in San Gabriel, Calif., where he was the varsity volleyball coach for the boys and girls programs. He also was the San Gabriel Elite head coach for the boys 18s team and assistant for the girls 13 elite team.

From 2014 to 2016, Anderson was an assistant coach under former Olympian Trevor Schirman at Briar Cliff University in Sioux City, Iowa. He helped guide the women's team to two consecutive NAIA national championship appearances, while the men's squad began receiving top-10 votes in his second year with the team.

As a four-year starter for the Endicott College men's volleyball team, Anderson helped the Gulls win the New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) in both 2013 and 2014. Endicott earned its first-ever NCAA Tournament win with a sweep over MIT in 2014. In 2013, Anderson led the Gulls with 249 kills and 2.57 kills per set, plus he was second on the squad with 84 total blocks.

Anderson received a Bachelor of Science degree in sports management from Endicott in 2014 and a Master of Arts degree in human resource management from Briar Cliff in 2016. Originally from Pasadena, Calif., he is a member of the Athletics Hall of Fame at La Salle College Prep.
