Women’s Volleyball Earns Inaugural “Next Level” Award

WESTON, Mass. – As a result of its hard work in the weight room during the non-traditional season in the spring, the Regis College women's volleyball team has received the inaugural "Next Level Award", established by Renato Capobianco, Regis College Athletics Strength and Conditioning Director.

"I'd like to congratulate the Regis women's volleyball team for earning the inaugural Regis 'Next Level Award' for their work in the weight room," said Capobianco. "This award will annually recognize a team that excels in the weight room and uses their workouts not only to get stronger but to develop a higher level of team culture."

The members of the women's volleyball team did not rest on their accomplishments from the 2021 season, when the squad achieved the second-highest single-season win total in program history with 23 overall victories.

They worked with Capobianco throughout the spring in following a strength and conditioning program that will help them on the volleyball court as the team looks to improve upon its fourth place finish in the 2021 Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) regular season standings.

"Our women's team has fully bought in to strengthen the volleyball culture here at Regis," head volleyball coach Josh Anderson said. "All of their hard work this spring season has shown up on the court and around campus this semester."

The Regis College women's volleyball team advanced to the semifinals of the 2021 GNAC Women's Volleyball Tournament.
