This is the second consecutive selection to the Academic All-District® Women's Volleyball Team for Fagundo, as she was previously voted to the team for the 2020-21 academic year in June. Fagundo, a two-time Academic All-GNAC honoree, is majoring in nuclear medicine and has maintained a 4.00 grade point average.

Fagundo just completed her best collegiate season statistically as she helped the Pride to 23 victories, the second-most in a single season in program history. She finished fifth in the GNAC in assists per set at 7.14, totaling 557 assists, eighth on the Regis single-season list. Fagundo became the sixth player in program history to reach the 1,000-assist mark for her career, finishing with 1,010 career assists.

"Emily has been a great asset for the Regis College volleyball program and exemplifies what the definition of being a student-athlete is all about," Josh Anderson, Regis College head women's volleyball coach, said. "Emily balanced four days of clinical work per week with practices and matches, posting career high totals in assists and assists per set, plus she reached 1,000 assists for her career in our conference tournament quarterfinal match."

Fagundo is also a member of the Regis College track and field team, competing in the sprinting and jumping events for the Pride. She earned All-GNAC honors at the 2020 GNAC Indoor Track and Field Championship, finishing second in the long jump with a top mark of 4.92 meters. Fagundo was also part of the squad that won the 2019 GNAC Women's Outdoor Track and Field Championship.

Fagundo will join the other first-team honorees in advancing to the CoSIDA Academic All-America® ballot. First-, second-, and third-team Academic All-America® honorees in Division III are scheduled to be announced Thursday, Dec. 16.
