Set one saw an Alexis Bell (Salem, Conn.) kill give Mt. Ida a 6-4 lead, but it would be all Pride from there. Regis would go on a 10-3 run spearheaded by a pair of Nystedt kills and a Katryna Veasey (Quincy, Mass.) kill and ace. The Pride sealed the first-set win with kills from Veasey and Shay Faber (Fort Lauderdale, Fla.).

Set two was much tighter but three quick points midway through the set helped Regis break a 13-13 tie. Later a 4-0 run led by a pair of Veasey aces put the set away and gave the Pride a two-set lead. After a set three hiccup, Regis sealed the win in the fourth set. The Pride trailed by four points early but a 12-2 run led by three Nystedt kills helped Regis pace to the win.

Regis vs. Worcester State

Sydney Trusty (Durham, Conn.) had a match-high 12 kills and Crystina Lathrop (Houston, Tex.) added 15 digs to help Regis overcome a sluggish first set. The Pride turned the tables in set two with a dominating 25-14 win which started with winning 10 of the first 11 points of the set. The Pride would win sets two and three to take the match and complete the sweep on the day.

Caleigh Davis (Acushnet, Mass.) and Emily Carens (Northborough, Mass.) both had 10 kills to lead the Lancers who fell to 9-11 after splitting their pair of afternoon matches. Megan Leavens (West Boylston, Mass.) had 15 digs to equal Lathrop for match-high honors and Alexandra Nolan (Melrose, Mass.) added 11 digs of her own.

Set three featured a much tighter contest but a Carter kill spearheaded a 5-0 run to help her team to a 17-11 lead. A Valerie Hoyle (Bridgewater, Mass.) kill cut the lead to two points but the Pride held on for the win.

The match looked destined to go to a fifth set but the Pride rallied late to capture the set and the match. Regis trailed 20-13 then ran off 12 of the next 13 points to take the win. Two Lancer timeouts couldn't slow down Trusty who had three kills and two blocks in the run.
