Women's Volleyball Falls to MIT, Tufts To Close MIT Invitational

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - In a rematch of a first round NCAA Tournament match from 2015, the Regis (Mass.) women's volleyball team failed to avenge their season-ending loss from a year ago, falling to MIT 3-0 (25-17, 25-18, 25-20). The Pride later closed the MIT Invitational with a three-set loss to Tufts (25-14, 25-21, 25-12).

The Pride drops to 0-4 on the season.

Freshman Dylan Godfrey (Wellington, Fla.) paced the Pride defensively, picking up 10 digs in the loss. Setter Crystina Lathrop (Houston, Texas) added 11 assists to guide the offense, while freshmen Katryna Veasey (Quincy, Mass.) and Chelsea Nuss (Rancho Cucamonga, Calif.) each chipped in five kills.

Both teams return to action this afternoon for their fourth and final games at the MIT Invitational, with Regis taking on Tufts and MIT going up against Bowdoin. Both matches are set to get underway at 3:00 p.m.
