COACH WRIGHT INDUCTED INTO RIVIER HALL OF FAME

NASHUA, N.H. – Head volleyball coach Scott Wright was inducted into the Rivier University Athletics Hall of Fame on Saturday, September 26.

Wright was a member of the 2006 Raiders men's volleyball team that went 31-3 that season and won the North East Collegiate Volleyball Association Tournament. Before the NCAA began sponsoring a Division III national men's volleyball tournament, the NECVA Championship was the ultimate goal for 31 schools in the northeast.

The NECVA Championship made the team one of the top four in the nation in Division III and earned the Raiders a trip to the Molten Final Four, where they competed against the University of California Santa Cruz and Stevens Institute of Technology. The team took down 10 of the 15 nationally ranked programs en route to the final four, including four Division I and II teams.

Coach Wright was a freshman during that season and used the success of that year to help the Raiders capture four-straight GNAC Championships during his time in Nashua, N.H. Over his four years at Rivier, Wright posted a .354 hitting percentage over 314 sets and had 324 blocks and 864 kills. He still is a top-five record holder in program history in those categories.
