PRIDE SWEEP HAWKS, REMAIN UNDEFEATED IN NECC

LEICESTER, Mass. – The Regis College women's volleyball team traveled to the Leicester Gymnasium on Tuesday evening and earned a 3-0 (25-8, 25-18, 25-17) sweep of conference rival Becker College. With the win, the Pride improve to 18-8 (4-0 NECC) and with the loss the Hawks fall to 7-18 (3-2 NECC)

Regis finished with a hitting percentage of .333. Kristina del Rey (Miami, Fla.) and Nicole Connolly (San Mateo, Calif.) had ten kills each to pace the Pride. Del Rey also added three blocks in the contest increasing her team-leading total to 39 on the year. Haley Schulte (Fullerton, Calif.) set the Pride up with a game high 37 assists while also adding a team-high nine digs. Sam Bliss (Framingham, Mass.) chipped in with six service aces, four of them coming in the first set. The Pride combined for 13 service aces as a team.

Becker freshman Kirsti Hadzewycz (Daytona Beach, Fla.) finished with a team high nine kills. Samantha Caouette (Montague, Mass.) had five kills, while Marissa Turner (Coventry, R.I.) added four kills.

Both teams continue NECC action on Saturday, October 25. Regis will host Mitchell College at 1:00 p.m., while Becker will travel to Lesley University at 6:00 p.m.
