CONNOLLY NAMED ECAC AND NECC ROOKIE OF THE WEEK

WESTON, Mass. – Regis College freshman Nicole Connolly (San Mateo, Calif.) has been named both the ECAC New England Region and New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) Rookie of the Week in women's volleyball, it was announced on Monday morning. This is the second time Connolly has achieved ROTW honors this season.

Connolly helped lead the Pride to a 2-2 mark this week, averaging 2.75 kills and 2.50 digs per set. Connolly had eight kills and 12 digs in a 3-0 sweep of Gordon to start the week. In a 3-0 setback to Southern Maine, Connolly posted nine kills, five digs and a pair of blocks. On Saturday, Connolly had seven kills, nine digs, and four blocks in a 3-0 win over Simmons. Against Framingham State, the freshman posted nine kills, four digs, and two blocks.

Connolly ranks first in the conference in kills (117), second in digs (172) and fourth in hitting percentage (.229)

Regis is back in action on Saturday afternoon when they host Pine Manor College and St. Joseph's College of Brooklyn in a tri-match starting at 11:00 a.m.
