PRIDE SPLIT IN TRI-MATCH AT SIMMONS

BOSTON, Mass. - The Regis College women's volleyball team picked up a 3-0 victory over the host Sharks, but dropped game two of the day to Framingham State University in a tri-match on Saturday morning in Boston, Mass. The Pride move to 10-7 on the year with the split.

Against the Sharks, Regis had six players record at least five kills led by seven kills apiece from Sam Bliss (Framingham, Mass.) and Nicole Connolly (San Mateo, Calif.). Courtney Mosher (Taunton, Mass.), Kristina del Rey (Miami, Fla.), Emily DeBarros (Brockton, Mass.), and Haley Schulte (Fullerton, Calif.) each recorded five kills in the 3-0 sweep.

Schulte also added 25 assists, four aces, and six digs. Connolly and Marilia Ramos (Chimbote, Peru) led the Pride defense with nine digs apiece, with del Rey adding eight of her own, and Sara Casullo (Little Falls, N.Y.) and Bliss added six digs each. Kristina del Rey posted a match-high seven blocks in the win.

In match two of the day, Connolly led the Regis offense again with nine more kills as the Pride offense struggled against the Rams. Kristina del Rey added four kills, while Mosher and Bliss added three kils each. Schulte handed out another 13 assists, to go with a team-best six digs.

Ramos and del Rey added five digs apiece, while Casullo, Bliss, and Connolly had four digs each. Kristina del Rey had another strong match at the net, with five more blocks in the setback.

The Crimson and Gold return to action on Monday night when they travel across town to Mount Ida College for a 6:00 p.m. match.
