PRIDE SPLIT ON DAY TWO OF UMD INVITE

NORTH DARTMOUTH, Mass. – Regis College grabbed a 3-0 victory over Eastern Nazarene College to start the day before falling to Framingham State University, 3-0, on day two of the UMass Dartmouth Invitational on Saturday.

Gracie Molinari (Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.) posted a double-double of 13 kills and 10 digs, and Emily DeBarros (Brockton, Mass.) added 12 of her own in the win over the Lions. Courtney Mosher (Taunton, Mass.) added seven kills, while Kristina del Rey (Miami, Fla.) added five kills and 13 digs. Tina Lathrop (Houston, Texas) dished out a match-high 35 assists to go with eight digs. Nicole Connolly (San Mateo, Calif.) had four kills, three aces, and a team-best 24 digs, while Marilia Ramos (Chimbote, Peru) chipped in three aces of her own to go with 19 digs.

The win was the fifth-straight for the Pride, including the third win over ENC.

Unfortunately for the Pride, their winning streak came to a halt at the hands of Framingham State University. The Rams used set scores of 26-24, 25-23, and 25-18 in the win.

Nicole Connolly led the Pride with 10 kills, two blocks, and 11 digs, while Sam Bliss (Framingham, Mass.) and Sydney Trusty (Durham, Conn.) added eight kills apiece. Haley Schulte (Fullerton, Calif.) handed out 21 assists, and Tina Lathrop added 11 more to her total for the day. Sara Casullo (Little Falls, N.Y.) and Bliss added six digs each in the setback.

The Pride are back in action on Tuesday night when they host Anna Maria College at 7:00 p.m.
