Nashua, N.H. – Sophomore Chelsey Crawford (Westfield, Mass.) registered a match-high 14 kills and five service aces leading host Daniel Webster College past Regis College, 3-1 in matchup of future women's volleyball conference rivals Tuesday night at Mario Vagge Gymnasium.
 
Junior Caitlyn DePierro (Billerica, Mass.) added 36 assists, three aces and seven digs as the Eagles (9-5) won their third straight and for the fourth time in their last five outings by scores of 25-16, 25-17, 22-25 and 27-25.
 
Regis joins the New England Collegiate Conference next season.
 
Eagle Junior Emily Travis (Somerset, Mass.) added eight kills, while sophomore Brier Temple (Concord, N.H.) knocked down seven and sophomore Samantha Hill (Hudson, N.H.) chipped in with six kills and four aces.
 
Angelica Endara (Boca Raton, Fla.) and Megan Pratt (Rockland, Mass.) led the Pride (7-17), who dropped their fourth straight, with nine kills each. Endara added 12 digs.
 
Sara Gold (N. Hollywood, Fla.) pulled in a match-high 19 digs for Regis, while Randi Garrity (Reading, Mass.) dished out 22 assists. Megan McCarty (Billerica, Mass.) chipped in with seven kills.
 
The match was won and lost at the net. The Eagles hit .237 as a team knocking down 42 kills against 15 errors, while Regis was undone by 29 attack errors against 28 total kills. Regis finished with 54 total digs against 46 for the Eagles. DWC struggled at the service line, committing 21 errors against 15 aces.
 
DWC trailed just once in both the first and second sets. Regis had jumped out to a 6-0 lead in the second before DWC answered with a remarkable 16-1 run keyed by kills from DePierro, Temple and Travis and were aided by six Pride attack errors.
 
In the third, Regis led by as many as six, withstood withstood a late Eagle rally that gave the Eagles an 18-17 lead, and took the lead for good at 20-19 on a Pratt kill followed by two aces from Lilian Silva (Chelsea, Mass.) that helped secure the 25-22 win.
 
The teams traded leads seven times and forged 14 ties in a wild, back-and-forth fourth set. Regis led 25-24 but Crawford answered with her last kill of the day to tie it, Temple followed with another kill for the lead and Hill would close it out with an ace.
 
The Eagles return to action on Thursday night when they host Pine Manor College in a regional matchup beginning at 7:00 p.m.
 
Regis visits Gordon College Wednesday night in a Commonwealth Coast Conference matchup at 7:00 p.m.
