REGIS COLLEGE CAPTURES WIN OVER RANDOLPH COLLEGE

WESTON, Mass.—Regis College women’s volleyball captured a 3-2 win against Randolph College (Va.), formerly Randolph-Macon College, over the weekend. The Pride had a total of 33 kills in its five games, with teammates Meghan McCarty (Billerica, Mass./Billerica Memorial) and Julie Endara (Boca Raton, Fla./Boca Raton) leading the way with 12 and 10 kills respectively.

McCarty had a team-high in attack percentage (.571), registering 12 kills, and zero errors in 21 attempts. Endara added 10 kills in 34 attempts, but committed four errors.

Regis College also faced Southern Virginia and Methodist. The Pride would drop a 3-0 decision to Southern Virginia, and take a game from Methodist before falling 3-1.

The Regis College versus Randolph match was the first time the two formerly all-women’s institutions have faced each other since both becoming co-educational in 2007.
