REGIS COLLEGE TAKES A GAME VERSUS ENDICOTT

BIDDEFORD, Maine – After splitting the first two sets, Endicott College surrendered just 23 points over the third and fourth sets to earn a 3-1 The Commonwealth Coast Conference victory over Regis College in volleyball action Saturday from the Campus Center at the University of New England.

Four players recorded six or more kills to pace the Gulls’ attack. Senior Brittany Phillips (Sudbury, Mass.) led the way 11 kills, adding to that 15 digs and four service aces. Junior Elyse Barbour (Greenville, R.I.), first-year Callie Dolan (Westford, Mass.), and Falyn Torelli (Pelham, N.Y.) notched eight, seven, and six kills, respectively.

Endicott (9-3, 3-0 TCCC) received 34 assists from junior setter Sarah Allshouse (Bertoud, Colo.). Sophomore Gillian Kucharski (Avon, Conn.) tallied a team-high 18 digs.

For the Pride (3-7, 0-1 TCCC), first-year Angelica Endara (Boca Raton, Fla.) posted a double-double with 10 kills and 19 digs. Senior Meghan McCarty (xxx) and sophomore Megan Pratt (xxx) each registered nine kills, while senior Randi Garrity (xxx) recorded 27 assists. First-year Sara Gold (xxx) had 22 digs.

Regis takes to the court again this afternoon against the UNE, while the Gulls are off until Friday when they compete at the MIT Invitational. Endicott’s first match of four will be against Springfield College.
