THE PRIDE PAWS LYNX 3-1

Weston, Mass.---The Regis College women's volleyball team defeated Lesley University 3-1 Saturday (Sept. 11).  This was the second win in a row for the Pride who defeated Pine Manor College earlier this week.

The Pride had a strong performance from freshman Angelica Endara (Boca Raton, Fla./Boca Raton) who led the Pride in kills with 18 for the match. Senior Meghan McCarty (Billerica, Mass./Billerica) also had a positive impact leading the Pride in kills during set three of the match.  Freshman Sara Gold (North Hollywood, Calif./Notre Dame)put the Pride in position to win with some key serves during the match.

The Lynx were led by senior Lindsey Marek (Killingworth, Conn./Haddam-Killingworth) with a sound performance leading the team in kills and attacks. Junior Meaghan Chadwick (Chelmsford, Mass./Chelmsford) started out strong for the Lynx, leading the team in kills and attacks  for the first set. This strong play was not enough for the Lynx, as the Pride won in four games.

The Pride is set to take on the Hawks of Becker College Friday (Sept. 17).  While the Lynx travel to Maine to take on Saint Josephs College (Sept. 14)
