HAWKS SOAR IN TCCC TRI-MATCH, LEAVE PRIDE GROUNDED IN 3-0 VICTORY

Weston, Mass.-Roger Williams (10-8, 4-1 TCCC) would upset both The Commonwealth Coast Conference opponents in a TCCC tri-match. The Hawks would defeat Regis College 3-0 (25-7, 25-8, 25-10) Saturday afternoon.

Hawks Take Flight in 25-7 Game One Victory

Kelsee Loche (Millis, Mass.) opened game one with five straight service aces for Roger Williams. Teammates Marybeth Torpey (Quincy, Mass.) and Michaela Ross (Old Bridge, N.J.) were the most aggressive hitters in game one. With the assistance of Emily Lebowitz (Coventry, Conn.) strategically placing her assists, Roger Williams elevated to a 25-7 defeat of Regis College.

Sullivan Serves Six Aces in 25-8 Second Game Victory

Brittany Sullivan (Nashua, N.H.) would open with consecutive aces to give the Hawks a 7-2 lead over Pride. Sullivan finished the day with six. Head coach Kelly Murphy took a timeout to regroup the Pride.

Rebekah Dion (Old Saybrook, Conn.) wanted to maintain the Hawks dominance, and demonstrated that with a striking kill to the Pride defense. Lebowitz would continue you assistance, placing Kristina Dolan (Glenmont, N.Y.) for consecutive kills to the front and rear lines of the Regis College defense.

Lebowitz would serve the Hawks up two aces to win game two 25-8.

Crucial Game Three for Pride Ends 25-10

With a commanding 11-point lead, the Hawks continued an assault of peppered attacks to gaps in the Regis defense. Led by Morgan Pasquali (Laconia, N.H.), sophomore Jessica Warren (Stony Brook, N.Y.) would join in the strategic placement of her shots as well.

Ahead 23-8, Roger Williams just needed to maintain its poise to finish its day with two conference match wins. Dion would serve an ace to give the Hawks 24 points, but Melissa Frederique (Manchester, N.H.) would return an attack on the next serve to put Regis into double digits.

Pasquali would send a striking kill to the left corner of the Pride territory to end the match 25-10, and its day with two TCCC wins.
