Weston, Mass.— Marriah Vengroff, Regis College women’s volleyball assistant coach, recently announced Shaynice Dorcena (Malden, Mass.) has committed to join the women’s program this upcoming fall.

Dorcena was a member of the inaugural team that started volleyball at Mystic Valley Regional. The incoming setter will be a “great addition for the Regis program,” Vengroff said.

Dorcena was a 2009 CAC All-Star, and a member of the Malden YMCA club team. She plans to pursue nursing as a major while at Regis College.

Vengroff was an assistant coach of the 2009 team that qualified for The Commonwealth Coast Conference quarterfinals, the team’s third straight appearance.
