HARRISON TO BE BIG HITTER FOR REGIS VOLLEYBALL

Weston, Mass.—The 6-foot 3-inch Anneliese Harrison (Holliston, Mass.) will be a towering force as an incoming freshman for the Regis College volleyball team in the fall. Assistant coach Marriah Vengroff announced that Harrison would be attending Regis College recently.

“She will make an impact, especially in blocking and hitting,” said Vengroff. The multi-sport athlete excelled in volleyball, as well as soccer and softball as a freshman and sophomore respectively.

In her sophomore year of softball she was named team captain. Finding her passion in volleyball, Harrison attended the University of Rhode Island Volleyball camp during the summers of her sophomore and junior years.

She also played club volleyball for MetroWest NERVA Juniors (Wrentham, Mass.) the last two seasons. Outside of playing sports Harrison has spent time doing community service.

During her four years of high school she has participated in camp counselor training, and will return as a counselor this summer. She also regularly volunteers at her church assisting the younger children during service.

Harrison will join a Pride team that qualified for the conference playoffs in 2009, its second consecutive appearance.
