Regis College Men Finish Second, Women Take Third at 2025 GNAC Championships

WORCESTER, Mass. – The Regis College swimming and diving team secured several podium finishes as the women placed third and the men finished second at the 2025 Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Swimming and Diving Championships, which concluded Sunday at the WPI Sports and Recreation Center.

Liam Austin (Boston, Mass.) claimed the GNAC champion title in the men's three-meter diving, posting a final score of 297.40, followed by Michael Zammuto (Burlington, Mass.) in second at 286.55.

Aryaman Nagaraj (Watertown, Mass.) earned a third-place podium finish in the men's 100-yard freestyle with a time of 50.02. Ryan Kim (Los Angeles, Calif.) placed third in the 50-yard breaststroke, clocking in at 28.66. Cody Werner (Bettendorf, Iowa) finished as the runner-up in the men's 200-yard butterfly with a time of 1:59.34. 

On the women's side, Olivia Luhnau (Castle Rock, Colo.) finished in a three-way tie for third in the 50-yard breaststroke with a time of 33.33, tying with Tiffany Twombly of Saint Joseph's College and Julia Long of Simmons University, while Abby Parker (Peru, Mass.) and Jenna Silva (New Bedford, Mass.) placed in the top 20 for the event. Ava Hubster (Crown Point, Ind.) secured a third-place podium finish in the 1650-yard freestyle at 20:11.35, while Vera Rivard (Springfield, N.H.) completed the race in 22:54.69. Luhnau also competed in the 100-yard backstroke, finishing fourth, with Riley Aptt (Woburn, Mass.) close behind in fifth.

The relay team of Appt, Luhnau, Hubster, and Kali Taylor (Brattleboro, Vt.) placed third in the women's 400-yard medley relay with a time of 4:24.25. On the men's side, the team of Josh Dion, Kim, Werner, and Zammuto also finished third, clocking in at 4:19.31.

Overall, the Pride men's and women's teams finished with a combined score of 486 points, while Norwich took first place with 1,389 points.
