Luhnau, Miller, Murphy Selected CSC Academic All-District

WESTON, Mass. – Regis College continues to place student-athletes on the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District® teams, as three members of the Pride women's swimming and diving team have been named to the 2022-23 Academic All-District® Division III Women's Swimming and Diving Team, announced Tuesday, Feb. 28, by College Sports Communicators.

Senior Cashman Murphy (Westwood, Mass.) participated in the NCAA Division III Region 3 Diving Championships Saturday, Feb. 25, at the Palladium Natatorium in New York City, finishing in 25th place with an 11-dive score of 328.85. Murphy won her second consecutive Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) one meter diving title Feb. 4 at Simmons University, setting new GNAC Championship and Simmons pool records with an 11-dive score of 420.50.

During the 2021-22 season, Murphy won both the one meter and three meter titles at the GNAC Championships as well as the three meter title at the NEISDA Championships. A two-time Academic All-GNAC honoree, Murphy is majoring in nursing and currently holds a 3.87 cumulative grade point average.

Junior Megan Miller (Quincy, Mass.) has served as a team captain during the 2022-23 season for the Pride. At the 2023 GNAC Championships, she finished fourth in the 100 backstroke in 1:04.83, fourth in the 100 individual medley in 1:07.55, and fifth in the 50 backstroke with a time of 30.19 seconds.

Miller showed significant improvement in the span of one year, lowering her 50 backstroke time by over one second and her 100 backstroke time by four seconds from the 2022 GNAC Championships. Also a member of the women's lacrosse team, Miller is a 2021-22 Academic All-GNAC selection majoring in nursing with a 3.58 cumulative grade point average after the Fall 2022 semester.

Sophomore Olivia Luhnau (Denver, Colo.) came close to two GNAC individual titles at the 2023 conference championships, finishing second in the 50 breaststroke in 33.01 seconds and in the 100 individual medley in 1:04.02 to receive All-GNAC honors. She also finished fourth in the 100 breaststroke with a time of 1:15.33 and participated in four relays for the Pride.

Earlier this season, Luhnau helped set the Regis Pool record in the 800 freestyle relay, and she is in the top 15 of the Regis top 20 times lists in seven different events. At the 2022 NEISDA Championships, she earned All-New England honors by finishing fifth in the 100 individual medley and eighth in the 50 breaststroke. Luhnau is also a nursing major and currently carries a 3.53 cumulative grade point average.

Regis College has now been represented by 18 student-athletes on various College Sports Communicators Academic All-District® teams so far in 2022-23. Luhnau, Miller, and Murphy will advance to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-America® ballot, with first-, second-, and third-team honorees to be announced in late March.

Regis College sponsors 20 intercollegiate sports, including women's swimming and diving, within NCAA Division III as a member of the Great Northeast Athletic Conference.
