COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – For the 18th time in the past 10 years, the Regis College women's swimming and diving team collected the Scholar All-America Team award from the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) for its exemplary academic performance during the Spring 2022 semester, as announced by the national organization Monday, June 27.

Thanks to a listed semester grade point average of 3.75, the Pride placed in a tie for ninth place among the 165 NCAA Division III teams to receive the honor. Regis is one of six squads who competed at the 2022 GNAC Swimming and Diving Championships to receive the award, including the top three teams in the final standings - Roger Williams, Simmons, and University of New England - as well as Saint Joseph's College and University of Saint Joseph.

"I am so excited for the women's swimming and diving team to earn CSCAA Scholar All-America Team status," head coach Diana Matthews said. "They have worked hard both in the pool and the classroom. They have supported one another athletically and academically the entire year. It is a great ending to an amazing season that also featured a second place finish at the NEISDA Championships."

The CSCAA Scholar All-America Team award recognizes intercollegiate swimming programs with a team grade point average of at least 3.0 during the most recent semester. For Spring 2022, 731 teams from 441 institutions across all three divisions of the NCAA as well as the NAIA and NJCAA earned the academic honor.

Founded in 1922, the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) is the nation's first organization of college coaches. The mission of the CSCAA is to advance the sport of swimming and diving with coaches at the epicenter of leadership, advocacy, and professional development.

Regis College sponsors 20 intercollegiate sports, including women's swimming and diving, within NCAA Division III as part of the Great Northeast Athletic Conference.
