SWIMMING & DIVING VOLUNTEERS AT CRADLES TO CRAYONS

WESTON, Mass. – The Regis College men's and women's swimming & diving teams volunteered at Cradles to Crayons on Saturday, October 4th

The team was part of the packing team, they were given different profiles (gender, age, and size), and put together "packs" based on the "recipe cards". Each pack was to include four shirts, two sweaters, two pants, one set of pajamas, and socks and underwear. The team made a total of 54 packs for boys and girls between 18 months and 12 years old. They also had a few swimmers that sorted through bags of donated clothes to do quality checks, and make sure the clothes were brand new or like new.

Cradles to Crayons provides children from birth through age 12, living in homeless or low-income situations, with the essential items they need to thrive - at home, at school and at play. We supply these items free of charge by engaging and connecting communities that have with communities that need.

Cradles to Crayons collects new and nearly new children's items through grassroots community drives and corporate donations. Donations are then processed and packaged by volunteers, and are distributed to disadvantaged children across the state through a collaborative network of social service agencies and school partners.
