IANDOLI NAMED TO GNAC ALL-SPORTSMANSHIP TEAM

BOSTON, Mass. - Sophomore Amanda Iandoli (Mansfield, Mass.) of the Regis College women's swimming & diving team was named to the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) All-Sportsmanship Team, the league announced on Tuesday.

Iandoli was one of seven individuals from the conference recognized for her outstanding sportsmanship. Her selection was announced as part of the GNAC women's swimming major awards for the 2013-14 season.

"Amanda had a tremendous season for us. She not only accomplished lifetime best times in the butterfly events, but she was also a major contributor by scoring points at the GNAC and New England Championships both individually and on relays," said head coach James Sweeney.

"She is very humble and always exhibited great sportsmanship by shaking hands with those she raced. This is a well deserved award for her."

Other award winners include Devon DeGrazia (Westport, Mass.) of Elms College, who was named GNAC Swimmer of the Year, as well as Shylee Sterwart (Eastham, Mass.) and Mindy Williams of Simmons College, who were named the GNAC Rookie of the Year and GNAC Coach of the Year, respectively.
