PRIDE SWEEPS DUAL MEET AGAINST ST. JOE's

STANDISH, Maine – Regis College swept both parts of a dual meet over St. Joseph's College on Saturday afternoon in Standish, Maine. The women's team took home a 149-103 win while the men's squad defeated the Monks by a score of 151-80.

For the women, two swimmers took home a pair of first place finishes each as Haley Bowen (Litchfield, N.H.) posted first place finishes in both the 50 yard breaststroke (34.96) and the 100 yard breaststroke (1:16.22). Shannan O'Neil (Lowell, Mass.) also added two first place finishes in the 200 yard freestyle with a time of 2:11.55 and the 100 yard individual medley (1:10.38). Megan Pratt (Rockland, Mass.) also had a strong day for the Pride, winning the 50 yard butterfly (30.85).

On the men's side, Zack Earl (Mexico, N.Y.) had a first place finish in the 1,000 yard freestyle (10:51.81), while Alexander Graf (Newton, Mass.) took home first place in the 200 yard freestyle (1:53.05) and Stephen McGovern (Dorchester, Mass.) notched the top spot in the 50 yard breaststroke (30.30). Graf also had a first place finish in the 100 yard butterfly (1:09.12) and the 100 yard freestyle (50.56), while Djordje Mandic (Portland, Maine) and Nick Yerzyk (West Hills, Calif.) also placed first in their respective events.

The Pride returns to action on December 3rd and 4th as Regis travels to Simmons College for the GNAC Championships starting at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday.
