WOMEN"S SWIMMING SET FOR PRIDE INVITATIONAL

Weston, Mass.---The Regis College women’s swimming and diving team is set to compete in the Regis College Pride Invite Friday (Nov.12) at 7:00 p.m.  The Pride enters the contest 0-5 with early season losses to Gordon, Plymouth State, and the University of New England. The Pride will compete against Plymouth State University, Simmons College, University of New England, Mount Holyoke College, and Husson University.

Leading the Pride is senior captain Lindsey Ranahan (Hingham, Mass./Hingham) who has been a strong performer for the Pride in the first four matches. Ranahan helped the Pride win the 200 yard medley relay and finished first in the 50 yd freestyle against Gordon for the Pride. Stacy Burns (Waltham, Mass. /Waltham) has also performed well for the Pride. Burns has had close second place finishes in the 50 yd Freestyle and 50 yd Butterfly for the Pride in the first four meets of the season.

The Pride will look for a strong performance from Christina Estrada (Bellingham, Mass./Blackstone Valley Tech) who has finished first in the 100 yd breaststroke and 200 yd IM against Bridgewater State this season for the Pride. The Pride will look to for their first win of the season as they compete in the Pride Invitational.

The Pride Invitational will be held at the Regis College Athletic Center and is set to start at 7:00 p.m.
