ESTRADA, PRATT, AND RANAHAN FINISH FIRST FOR PRIDE IN LOSS TO BLAZERS

Weston, Mass.—The Regis College women’s swimming team was defeated Saturday (Jan. 29) by Elms College. The Pride fell to the Blazers by the score of 139-97. The Pride moves to 3-10 on the season, while the visiting Blazers move to 10-1 on the season.

The Pride was led by Christina Estrada (Bellingham, Mass./Blackstone Valley) who won the 500-yard freestyle and the 100 butterfly. Estrada placed second in the 200 freestyle with a time of 2:08.99.

Sophomore Megan Pratt (Rockland, Mass./Rockland) finished first for the Pride in the 50 Butterfly with a time of 30.97.

Lindsey Ranahan (Hingham, Mass./Hingham) took first in the 100 IM with a time of 1:11.07. Ranahan continued to swim well for the Pride, she finished second in the 50 backstroke.

The Pride finished first in the 200 freestyle relay under the strong swimming of Estrada, Ranahan, Stacy Burns (Waltham, Mass./Waltham), and  Meagan Kennelly (Milford, Mass./Milford) who finished with a time of 1:54.32.

The Pride’s next meet will be Saturday (Feb. 12) at the New England Intercollegiate Swimming and Diving Association Championships.
