ESTRADA AND RANAHAN LEAD THE WAY FOR PRIDE

Freshman Christina Estrada and Junior Lindsay Ranahan led the Regis College Pride to its best NEISDA Championship finish since 2003, ending the weekend in 14th place of 22 teams.  Estrada and Ranahan captured 86 of the Pride’s 116 points with their individual swims. 

Estrada earned All New England honors in the 200 freestyle (2:02.59) by finishing in 6th place.  She was 7th in the 500 freestyle (5:28.56), and 11th in the 100 freestyle (57.27).  Ranahan finished 7th in the 100 backstroke (1:04.18), and 8th in the 50 and 200 backstrokes (30.52 and 2:18.94, respectively).

Other swimmers who contributed to the many relays over the weekend were Megan Pratt, Melissa Moore, Katie Bradford, and Devin Galvin.  Four of the five relays entered finished in the Top 18 highlighted by a 13th place finish in the 800 yard free relay.
