POLITIS AND HAIDEMENOS COMMIT TO WOMEN'S LACROSSE

Weston,Mass.--Regis College Head women’s lacrosse coach Liz Conant is proud to announce the commitment of two student athletes for the 2012 lacrosse season. Grace Politis (Billerica, Mass. /Billerica) and Katherine Haidemenos (Warwick, RI/ La Salle Academy) have committed to play for the Pride in the spring of 2012.

Weston, Mass.—The NCAA released the 2011 statistical champions for women’s lacrosse Tuesday (June 21). Teresa Busiek (Arlington, Mass./Arlington Catholic)was awarded as the NCAA Division III statistical Champion for ground balls per game.

Weston, Mass.--The Regis College women’s lacrosse program recently held its annual end-of-season awards dinner this past week. The Pride celebrated numerous initial and paramount performances for the season. The Pride finished the season on a strong note with the squad tallying a program record of four wins and twelve losses.

Weston, Mass.—Liz Conant, Regis College head coach for women’s lacrosse and soccer, recently had her article published in the May/June 2011 issue of Coach and Athletic Director magazine. Conant is in her second year at Regis College, and concluding her first year as head coach of the two programs.

The Pride moves to 4-11 overall on the season and 1-9 in The Commonwealth Coast Conference. The visiting Bison move to 4-10 overall on the season and are 3-7 in TCCC play.

Weston, Mass.—The Regis College Athletic Department is proud to announce the Student Athlete of the Week. Teresa Crevier (Milford, Mass./Montrose) was selected for her solid performance over the past weeks games. Crevier tallied a total of nine ground balls, three goals, and one assist.

CHICOPEE, Mass. – Elms College junior attacker Chelsey Grabowski (South Hadley, Mass.) scored three goals, but Regis College received a seven-goal effort from Tana DiCenso (Framingham, Mass.) to help pace the Pride to a 14-4 victory over the Blazers in Monday evening’s non-conference women’s lacrosse game at Leary Field.
