WESTON, Mass. – Regis College junior forward Amanda Hawkesworth (Abington, Mass.) has been named the New England Collegiate Conference Player of the Week it was announced on Monday morning.

Hawkesworth was named NECC Tournament MVP as she led the Pride to their fourth straight Conference Championship. She had a strong week averaging 19.0 points and 6.5 rebounds in the NECC Playoffs. During the semifinals matchup, Hawkesworth finished with, 18 points nine rebounds, two assists, and four steals in the 60-40 win over Elms. The junior forward continued her impressive week as she shot a staggering 69.2 percent from the field in the Championship game to lead the Pride to the 60-38 victory over Newbury. This is the third time this season Hawkesworth has been named player of the week.
