WESTON, Mass. – Regis College junior forward Amanda Hawkesworth (Abington, Mass.) has been named the New England Collegiate Conference Player of the Week it was announced on Monday morning.

Hawkesworth (Abington, Mass.) started and played in two games for the Pride this past week. She was a huge part of the Pride's success and helped lead the team to a 2-0 record in conference games. Hawkesworth averaged 37 minutes and put up 22.5 points, 9.0 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 3.0 steals per game. The junior captain shot 52.9% from the hardwood. Against Elms on February 13, Hawkesworth scored her 1,000 career point in a 69-61 win. She became the 16th player in program history to reach the 1,000 point plateau. This is the second time Hawkesworth has earned the Player of the Week award.

Regis returns to the court tomorrow when they host conference opponent Lesley in the regular season finale at 6:00 p.m.
