MARRO NETS NECC PLAYER OF THE WEEK HONORS

WESTON, Mass. – Regis College's Emilee Marro (Bedford, N.H.) has been honored by the New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) by being named the Player of the Week for women's basketball. Marro averaged 23.5 points and 7.5 rebounds to help the Pride pick up their seventh and eighth consecutive victories this week.

The sophomore guard put up a career-high 25 points in a 64-39 win over Newbury on Tuesday after shooting 12-for-19 from the field. She also pitched in with six rebounds, four assists, and three steals. On Saturday afternoon against Mitchell, Marro scored 22 points after shooting 70 percent from the field. She also added nine rebounds, three assists, and two steals as the Pride cruised to a 79-49 victory.

In 17 games this season, Marro is currently averaging 13.5 points per game, 6.8 rebounds per game, and 3.8 assists per game, all of which are team-leading.

The Pride will be back in action on Tuesday, January 29, as they host Wheelock College at 7:00 p.m.
