CRAWFORD AND MCNULT TALLY DOUBLE-DOUBLE IN WIN

Weston, Mass.—The Regis College women's basketball team defeated the John Jay University Saturday (Dec.11) by the score of 98-61.  The Pride improves to 6-2 on the season while the visiting Bloodhounds move to 2-5

The Pride was led by Stephanie Crawford (Rockland, Mass./Rockland)  and Sarah McNult (Hampstead, N.H. /Pinkerton) who each tallied a double-double in the game.  The Pride controlled the ball for most of the first half, with Britney White (Boston, Mass./New Mission) scoring a game high 26 points.

The Bloodhounds were led by Dominique Grice (North Babylon, NY / North Babylon) and Jessica Lirio (Bronx, NY / St. Barnabas) who each tallied 22 points in the game.  The Bloodhounds tallied 38 points in the first half.

 The Pride scored 60 points in the first half with the score favoring the Pride at halftime. The Bloodhound defense was able to control the Pride to only 38 in the second half with a strong defense from Jamecia Forsythe (Brooklyn, NY / James Madison) who tallied 3 blocks and 6 rebounds.

The Pride continued to possess and distribute the ball in the second half. This ball possession proved to be too much for the Bloodhounds as the Pride took the game scoring 38 points in the second half.

The Pride will take on Saint Lawrence University Sunday (Dec.12) for the Park Lodge Tournament Champion at 3:00 p.m. The Bloodhounds next game will be Sunday (Dec.12) against Framingham State in the Park Lodge Tournament Consolation Game at 1:00 p.m.
