CHACE NAMED REGIS COLLEGE STUDENT ATHLETE OF THE WEEK

Weston, Mass.—The Regis College athletic department is proud to announce that Alex Chace (North Easton, Mass./Oliver Eames) has been named the student athlete of the week. Chace has been selected for her strong performances over the past week.

Chace has played in 18 games for the Pride this season and is averaging 6.2 points per game. Chace has been a threat for the Pride from the three-point line this season. Chace made seven three-pointers to tally a game high of 24 points in the Pride’s loss to Endicott College on Saturday.  Chace shot 54 percent from the arc and brought the Pride within three points of victory

Chace has hit 29 three-pointers this season and currently ranks number one on the team in three points attempted and made. Chace has recorded 112 total points on the season with 87 coming from three-pointers.  On the defensive side of the ball Chace has tallied 41 rebounds and forced three turnovers for the Pride.

Chace will look to add to her three-point total in the Pride’s upcoming contests.  The Pride’s next game is against Western New England College Tuesday (Feb.  8) at 5:30 p.m.
