WESTON, Mass.—Freshman Claire Ramonas (Portland, Maine/Deering) was named The Commonwealth Coast Conference Rookie of the Week Monday. The conference office made the announcement via email.

Her recent announcement was her third rookie of the week recognition by the TCCC. Ramonas helped Regis College to a 2-0 TCCC record last week by defeating Nichols College and Anna Maria. She also helped Regis College (15-10, 9-4 TCCC) to reaching its fourth consecutive TCCC postseason, which begins Tuesday, Feb. 22.

Last week, Ramonas averaged 10.0 points per game, 8.0 rebounds, and 3.0 assists. She made 7-for-12 (.580) from the field, and scored 16 points in Regis’ defeat of Nichols College. Ramonas shot better than 50 percent from the field and free-throw line for the week.

Ramonas and the Pride will travel to Endicott in the TCCC Quarterfinal game scheduled for Tues., Feb. 22 at 7 PM.
