BRITTANY WHITE HELPS LIFT REGIS PAST CONFERENCE LEADING NOR'EASTERS

Weston, Mass.—With less than :03 seconds remaining in the game Regis College’s Brittany White (Dorchester, Mass.) would make a three-pointer to give Regis College (11-7, 5-1 TCCC) a 56-54 lead over The Commonwealth Coast Conference opponent the University of New England (14-4, 5-1 TCCC) Thursday.

The University of New England is currently ranked No. 1 in TCCC standings. White finished her night with 11 points in 31 minutes. She was two rebounds shy of notching a double-double. Her only three-pointer of the game gave Regis its only lead of the night.

Four Pride members had double figures in points, including White. Jessica Page (Quincy, Mass.) led with 16 points. Page also finished with 14 rebounds. It was Page’s seventh double-double of the season.

Sophomores Meagan Tobin (Quincy, Mass.) and Stephanie Crawford (Rockland, Mass.) each finished with 10 points.

White tied the game at 48 even with 3:40 remaining in the second half, the fifth tied score of the game. Regis battled from behind much of the game. The Pride held the lead only five times for the night, with the last four being within the last 2:45 minutes of the game.

The two teams were identical for most categories. Regis edged the Nor’easters in total rebounds by one, 39-38. For the game, the opponents shot 32 percent from the field.

Regis Will travel to Wentworth, a TCCC opponent, on Jan. 30, to face the Leopards at 1:00 p.m.
