REGIS CRUISES PAST NEC IN TCCC PLAY

Henniker, N.H. -Regis College Sarah McNult (Hampstead, N.H.) finished with 12 points and grabbed a game-high 14 rebounds lifting the visiting Regis College Pride past New England College 93-62 in women's basketball action Wednesday night.  With the win the Pride improve to 9-7 overall and 3-1 in conference play.  The loss drops the Pilgrims to 7-9 on the season and 0-4 in the conference.

Regis would score the first four buckets of the game building the early 8-0 lead.  The Pride would continue their hot shooting stretching their lead to 18-4 just eight minutes into the game.  Regis would record 26 first half points in the paint, shooting an impressive 51% from the field and head into halftime up 53-30.

The Pride would come out of halftime on a 17-4 run and build their largest lead of the evening up 69-34 with 13:34 left in regulation. The Pilgrims would get within 27 points but that is as close as they would get as the Pride would sink 18-of-21 second half free-throws to cap the 93-62 victory.

Regis College's Jessica Page (Quincy, Mass.) scored a team-high 20 points, while Stefanie Wozmak (Auburn, N.H.) chipped in 17 points for the Pride.  Stephanie Crawford (Rockland, Mass.) and Caitlin Luquet (Walnut Creek, Calif.) each scored 13 points for the Pride.

Leading the way for NEC was Rachel Williams (Chapel Hill, N.C.) who finished with a career-high 35 points and a team-high nine rebounds. 

NEC returns to action on Saturday, Jan. 23 when they host conference opponent Roger Williams University at 1:00 p.m.  Regis will host conference opponent Eastern Nazarene College Saturday, Jan. 23 at 1:00 p.m.
