WINTHROP, Mass. – Senior Tyrell Bucasas (Waialua, Hawaii) was named the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Setter of the Week after helping the Regis College Men's Volleyball team secure a 2-2 mark on the week.
Bucasas posted a total of 120 assists (9.23 assists per set) along with 23 digs (1.77 digs per set) in a 2-2 week for the Pride. The Hawaii native started the week strong, tallying 47 assists and eight digs in a victory over American International College before collecting 20 and 18 against Lasell and Emmanuel. The senior ended the week with 35 assists and eight digs in a sweep over Elms. Bucasas leads the GNAC in total assists with 617, which is also good for 24th in the nation.
This award is Bucasas' second Setter of the Week honor in his senior season and the third of his career in the crimson and gold.
Bucasas and the Pride will return to action tomorrow, March 25th, when they travel to Nashua, New Hampshire to take on Rivier University at 7 p.m.
