Men’s Lacrosse Falls to Norwich

WESTON, Mass. - Regis College was defeated, 17-6, Saturday afternoon in a Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) men's lacrosse game at Regis Stadium.

Anthony Marsella (Johnston, R.I.) scored twice and had one assist for the Pride while Connor Deveau (Harwich, Mass.), Nick Klein (Buxton, Maine), Nate Arsenault (Westford, Mass.), and Aidan Martin ( Cutchogue, N.Y.) each scored once with Deveau also adding an assist.

Regis scored first when the Pride took advantage of a man-up situation and Arsenault found the open net off a pass by Ryan Richardson (Corona, Calif.) to put the Pride up, 1-0, early in the contest.

After an unassisted goal by Marsella in the third quarter, the Pride went on to score four times in a row in the fourth, including goals by Marsella, Deveau, Klein, and Martin who managed to cut through the defense and score the first goal of his career.

Tyler Seidel led Norwich with five goals while Coley Bagwell finished with four goals and two assists. Thomas Muraski scored twice while Matt Meehan, Jaxon Bampfield, Callum Jones, Christian Masonius, Alex Johnston, and Mitchell McKay each scored once.

Robby Fuller (Wolfeboro, N.H.) made 23 saves in net for Regis while Luke Boland had 10 in goal for Norwich.

Regis College (3-4, 0-4 GNAC) next plays at Emmanual on Tuesday, April 4, beginning at 7:00 p.m.
