REGIS MAKES STRIDES AGAINST BREAST CANCER

WESTON, Mass. - Numerous Regis College athletic teams took part in the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk this past Sunday morning, October 8 in Boston.

Players and coaches from the field hockey, softball, men's and women's volleyball and men's and women's tennis teams took part in the five mile walk along the Charles River. The Pride athletic teams helped the American Cancer Society whose goal is to "do the most for those touched by breast cancer in every community today and work to find cures to end the disease tomorrow."

Members of the field hockey and softball teams also volunteered to work the event, while the women's lacrosse team cheered on the walkers as they passed by. The tennis program, led by head coach John Ciarleglio, fundraised $1,100 that was contributed straight to the American Cancer Society.
