Fall Sports Open Preseason Camp On Monday

WESTON, Mass. - Under the backdrop of a new era of Regis (Mass.) Athletics, eight Pride teams begin fall camp next week. Men's and women's soccer, men's and women's cross country, men's and women's tennis, women's volleyball and field hockey will all take the court, field and trails next week in preparation for their September openers.

All eight teams enter their first season as members of the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) with league play beginning as early as Sept. 6 when women's soccer visits Mount Ida. Five of the teams are coming off league titles but all eight will be looking to make their mark in the new conference. Each team enters camp facing different challenges but all with the goal of success on and off the field and all with a GNAC title as their target.

Women's volleyball coach Marc Turiano enters his first season at the helm of the Pride but has become familiar with the squad having been hired this past January. Both Mike Webber (women's soccer) and Kourtney Bonsey (cross country) enter their second seasons but first after a full recruiting cycle.

Veteran coaches John Ciarleglio (tennis), Nikki Panciocco (field hockey) and Renato Capobianco (men's soccer) enter the 2017 campaign with firmly established programs. Ciarleglio and Panciocco are a year removed from conference titles with Capobianco's squad falling in the NECC Tournament final.
