Regis College junior forward Sam Jean-Gilles (Melrose, Mass.) has been named this week's Regis College Student-Athlete of the Week after posting a game-high 19 points and played stifling defense against Colby on Sunday.

Jean-Gilles scored 17 of his 19 points in the second stanza and knocked down two three-pointers during the Pride last second loss. He was part of a defensive double team against D3Hoops.com Team of the Week player Chris Hudnut and held the senior center to four points (2-of-7 shooting) and one rebound during the second half.

The Pride travel to Bennington, Vt. to square off against Southern Vermont in a rematch of the 2014-15 New England Collegiate Conference Championship game on Thursday evening with tip-off slated for 8:00 p.m.
