Regis College sophomore thrower Kate Cowden (Wilmington, Mass.) has been named this week's Regis College Student-Athlete of the Week after a strong performance at the Sean Collier Invitational on Saturday morning.

Cowden qualified for the New England Division III Outdoor Championships that will be held at Springfield College on May 7th. She set a new personal record in the discus event with a throw of 33.89 meters which was good enough for a fifth place finish in the event.

Regis returns to action on Sunday May 1st when they host the Pride Classic Invitational in Weston at 10:00 a.m. You can find the information for the Pride Classic here.
