BOSTON – Led by five event titles, several All-GNAC performances, and other scoring efforts, the Regis College women's track and field team won the 2023 Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Women's Indoor Track and Field Championship Sunday at the Boston University Track and Tennis Center.

Ashleigh Kelley (Stoneham, Mass.) led the Pride with three individual event victories, as she finished first in the 800 meter run by over two seconds in 2:33.52, the one mile run by almost 13 full seconds in 5:32.99, and the 3000 meter run by over eight seconds in 11:20.94. She also anchored the distance medley relay, joining Libby Parker (Bow, N.H.), Alayja Linton (Nashua, N.H.), and Katie Kelley (Stoneham, Mass.) for a victorious time of 14:14.95 that clinched the team title for the Pride.

Anastazia Copeland (West Hartford, Conn.) earned the other event victory for the Pride, winning the weight throw with a mark of 13.15 meters (43' 1.75") achieved on her first attempt. Tori Bradley (Dracut, Mass.) also scored in the event for Regis by finishing fourth with a mark of 11.46 meters (37' 7.25").

In the shot put, Allie Sanidas (Ipswich, Mass.) finished in second place with a mark of 10.05 meters (32' 11.75"), followed by Pilar Brown (Rockland, Mass.) in third place with an All-GNAC effort of 9.63 meters (31' 7.25"). In addition, Kristin Barrett (Plymouth, Mass.) picked up two key points for the Pride with a fifth place finish at 9.24 meters (30' 3.75").

Grace Micklon (Salem, N.H.) broke her own school record in the high jump, earning All-GNAC honors with a third place finish after clearing 1.46 meters (4' 9.5"). Mikayla Francois (Walpole, Mass.) ended up in a tie for fifth place after clearing 1.36 meters (4' 5.5"), plus she received two All-GNAC awards with third place finishes in the 60 meter hurdles in 10.04 seconds and in the long jump at 4.74 meters (15' 6.75"), and she also finished fifth in the 60 meter dash finals in 8.52 seconds.

Erin Kelley (Stoneham, Mass.) was a three-time All-GNAC honoree, finishing second in the one mile run in 5:45.79 and the 5000 meter run in 19:26.86 as well as third in the 3000 meter run in 11:36.38. Lily Belschner (Revere, Mass.) picked up All-GNAC recognition with a third place finish in the 60 meter dash finals in 8.42 seconds.

Annabelle Jean-Philippe (Randolph, Mass.) finished fourth in both the 400 meter dash in 1:05.93 and the 800 meter run in 2:42.90. Abby Kilbride (Peabody, Mass.) finished sixth in the 400 meter dash with a time of 1:07.08, as did Parker in the 5000 meter run with a time of 21:48.48 and Emily Aho (Pelham, N.H.) in the 60 meter hurdles in 10.90 seconds. Kilbride also joined Francois, Elisa D'Sa (Bellmore, N.Y.), and Jean-Philippe for a fourth place finish in the 4x400 meter relay with an overall time of 4:59.94.

The Pride compiled 134.5 points, 10 points more than second place Emmanuel College. It is the third overall GNAC title for the Regis women's track and field team, as the women won the GNAC Outdoor Track and Field Championship in both 2018 and 2019.

Select members of the Regis College track and field team will compete at the Wheaton Pre-Postseason Invitational Saturday, Feb. 18, starting at 10:30 a.m. Those who qualify will go on to the New England Division III Indoor Track and Field Championships at The Track at New Balance Feb. 24-25.
