Pride Track and Field Season Concludes at New England Championships

WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. – Senior Erin Kelley (Stoneham, Mass.) and sophomore Sam Perkins (Whitman, Mass.) represented Regis College Friday evening as they competed at the 2022 New England Division III Outdoor Track and Field Championships, hosted by Williams College.

Perkins finished ninth in the javelin throw with a top mark of 35.71 meters (117' 2"), accomplished on her second attempt. It was the second time in six days she posted a mark over 35 meters, as she won the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) javelin title with a throw of 37.05 meters (121' 7") last Sunday.

Kelley crossed the finish line in 16th place overall in the 10,000 meter run with a time of 39:54.25, less than 10 seconds off the school record time of 39:44.42 she posted three weeks ago at the Silfen Invitational to qualify for this weekend's meet.

The Regis College track and field team concludes the 2021-22 season with three individual titles during the GNAC Indoor Championships and four titles among individuals and relays at the GNAC Outdoor Championships. The men's and women's teams combined for three new indoor school records and 11 new outdoor school records.
