WINTHROP, Mass. – With a record-setting performance Saturday, senior Erin Kelley (Stoneham, Mass.) has been named the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Women's Track Athlete of the Week, while Chris Margiatto (Suffield, Conn.) received GNAC Men's Track and Field Rookie of the Week honors, announced Monday, April 4, by the league office.

Kelley broke the school record in the 5000 meter run Saturday at the Wellesley Invitational. She finished third overall in the event with a time of 18:52.68, 21 seconds faster than the previous record. It was also over two minutes faster than her previous personal best established at the 2019 GNAC Outdoor Track and Field Championships. Kelley is now atop the GNAC performance list in the event.

This is Kelley's third GNAC weekly award this year, as she received GNAC Track Athlete of the Week honors twice during the indoor season (Jan. 24 and Feb. 21). Margiatto is receiving a league weekly award for the first time in his collegiate career.
